Sound Healing: What you need to know (and why it changes everything)

If you’ve ever been curious about sound healing but aren’t sure what actually happens inside a session, you’re not alone.

I get asked about it all the time — and the truth is, it’s hard to explain until you’ve experienced it.

But here’s what I can tell you. Sound healing is less about “fixing” you, and more about guiding your body, mind, and spirit back into harmony. Think of it as resonance — vibrations that create space for your system to reset, recalibrate, and expand.

Let’s dive into a few of the most common questions I hear:

What is sound healing?

Sound healing is a holistic practice that uses vibrations and frequencies to restore balance in the body and mind. Through instruments like crystal bowls, chimes, gongs, and voice, sound creates a resonance that helps you shift from stress and overthinking into deep presence and calm.

It’s not about “adding more” to you — it’s about bringing you back to your natural state of clarity, alignment, and vitality.

What are the benefits?

Sound healing isn’t just relaxing (though that part is undeniable). It’s also:

  • A powerful tool for stress release + nervous system reset

  • Supportive for better sleep and deeper rest

  • Known to improve focus, creativity, and emotional clarity

  • Helpful for releasing stored tension and old patterns

  • An invitation into presence, expansion, and inner peace

Many of my clients describe it as “coming home to themselves” — a feeling of being more centered, grounded, and connected.

What instruments are used?

In my private and group sound baths, I use crystal singing bowls (made of clear quartz), koshi chimes, drums, voice, guitar, rainsticks, ocean drum, tuning forks, Tibetan bowls and other instruments to create a layered soundscape. Each one carries a unique frequency that interacts with your energy, guiding you deeper into resonance and harmony.

Is it safe for everyone?

Sound healing is safe for most people, but there are a few exceptions. It’s not recommended for those with epilepsy or during the first trimester of pregnancy. Beyond that, it’s a gentle, non-invasive practice that simply invites your body to receive and release what it’s ready to.

What should I expect in a session?

You’ll be invited to lie down or sit comfortably. Mats, blankets, and pillows are provided, and I always encourage you to bring anything that helps you feel at ease. Then, you simply relax as the sound waves move through and around you.

You might feel deeply calm, emotional, or even inspired. Every experience is different — and each one gives you exactly what you need in the moment.

How often should I go?

It depends on your intention. Some people come weekly as a self-care ritual. Others come monthly for recalibration. And some arrive when they feel the pull — when life feels heavy, or when they want to mark a new chapter with intention.

Ready to Experience It for Yourself?

Reading about sound healing only takes you so far. The real transformation happens when you’re receiving the resonance, and feeling the shift for yourself.

If you’re not local (or you’re just curious to dip your toes in before coming in person), I’ve created virtual sound baths you can experience anytime, anywhere.

All you need is a quiet space, a pair of headphones, and an open mind. Let the vibrations guide you into deep relaxation, clarity, and expansion — right from your own home.
